No to Same Sex Marriage in Scotland

No Comments GPC Comment

Most Christians in Scotland will now be aware of the Scottish Government Consultation on Same Sex Marriage, which closes at midnight on Friday, 9 December. Your voice matters, and we urge you to raise it now, by responding online to the consultation.

The Scottish Government is consulting on proposals to redefine marriage in order to allow two men or two women to marry, and also to allow civil partnerships onto religious premises with religious services. The Government’s ‘initial view’ is to support the redefinition of marriage, but it is also listening to all views.

These proposals are gravely concerning for the nation of Scotland and have implications for the whole of the UK. The majority of the church in the nation is coming together to say NO to redefining marriage, including the Church of Scotland, Roman Catholic Church, Scottish Episcopal Church, Free Church of Scotland and evangelical church leaders all making their voice heard.

Please respond NOW to add YOUR voice!
