Miracles

Hallelujah! God is promising a new level of release of the miraculous to be seen in the nation. ‘Exodus-style’ miracles are going to increase in this season and the following season. We will begin to see creative miracles, healings, sign and wonders, encounters with God and an increase in salvations, in a greater way.

Shaking

The shaking that the nation has walked through will continue in two specific areas: the economy and leadership.

Economically, there will be a double dip recession due to the refusal of society to break the habit of financial presumption. Continuing in a lifestyle of debt will crush those who refuse to change. Unemployment will rise to levels we have not seen in many, many decades.

Leadership in the church and the political and business arenas is being called to model the ways of the Good Shepherd. God has been raising up a new breed of Good Shepherd leaders – of all ages – who will rise up when others fall from grace and position, as you will witness in the coming year. It is not a place for leaders to find a middle ground where compromise reigns: you will either walk free from your sin and into a new integrity or the pressure of the sin will prevent you from retaining your position.

Holiness

God is calling for His church to change from its casual approach, to embrace a reverential fear and awe of God. While personal holiness is always on God’s heart, there is an even stronger call for it in this season. Having a reverential fear and awe of the King of Kings will be a precursor to carrying the release of the power and anointing of the miraculous that God is pouring out over Scotland. Re-cultivate some of the spiritual disciplines that you once explored and which will, in this season, have more power than they ever did before.

This focus on Holiness is a choice and God is asking us to release the things that hold us back. No one man or denomination is the full carrier of the open Heaven that God seeks to bring to the nation and, along with personal holiness, corporate holiness is also on The Lord’s agenda. Corporate holiness in this season is related to the associations that we have with one another. This is a call to relinquish our elitism, titles, status, positions and power. ‘Lay it all down’ – ‘that we may be one, even as Jesus and the Father are one’.
God is asking us to align with those who are passionately pursuing the heart of God and His call to live as a Holy People.

New Sound

God is speaking the words ‘new sound’ over the nation and God is releasing favour in the creativity of the people of Scotland. It is the sound of breakthrough, it is the sound of the ‘Wake Up’ trumpet! Intercessory war cries, rhythms and drumbeats will rise. This is linked to the inheritance that Scotland has in God. It is not just confined to Christian worship music but God is going to release a change even in the ‘secular’ music coming out of Scotland.

Transitioning

We are in a time of transitioning, where the Lord asks, ‘Where do you want to transition into?’ and, ‘What do you want to leave behind?’ Some of the issues that have been long-established in your life will be brought to completion and they will not transition into the next season.

Prayers you can pray to respond to this word:

Prophecy usually requires a response and is often conditional on what we choose to do with it. You may find it helpful to ask God the following questions, or say the following prayers, to help you fully engage with the word we have released:

Holiness and Miracles
• Ask – what would it look like if I were more holy?
• Pray – to know what it is to be more in awe of God.
• Pray – for an increase in the miraculous in your life, community, church family.

New Sound
• Pray – for this new wave of creativity to burst over you, so that you can sing a new song and have a new sound, as your Heavenly Father releases it in the nation.

Transitioning
• Ask – what in my life needs to transition and cannot stay where it is?
• Ask – what in my life needs brought to completion?
• Pray – that transition and completion will be brought to the areas that you have listed in the previous questions.

Scotland is entering an historic phase, where many of the unfulfilled prophecies spoken over our nation by current and previous generations are being fulfilled, in particular those of Joel echoed by Jean Darnell in the 1960s (click the link to read more about Jean’s prophesies on this blog).

Elsewhere on this blog you can read a prophecy by Steve Witt given in 2007 which foretold the current volcanic eruption in Iceland. Steve also stated that when this happened, Scotland would be hit by a wave of earthquakes – not huge, but large enough to put on the front page of the headlines.

As of June 2010, the Icelandic volcano is still erupting and, as prophesised, Scotland has been hit by a series of ‘small’ earthquakes…

• 7th June: Dumfries and Galloway – two small earthquakes 0.8 and 2.3 on the Richter scale.
• 7th June: North Sea – one small earthquake measuring 2.7 on the Richter scale
• 29th May: Clydebank – one small earthquake measuring 1.9 on the Richter scale
• 23rd May: Clydebank – one small earthquake measuring 1.5 on the Richter scale
• 20th May: Oban – one small earthquake measuring 1.2 on the Richter scale

In the words of Steve Witt…  ”God is about to unearth something big’ in Scotland”.

Bring it on Lord, whatever it looks like, whatever it costs. May we be like the sons of Issachar who had an understanding of the times and seasons and were able to discern what needed to be done. (I Chon 12:32).

What a glorious time to be alive!

The following prophetic word was given by Steve Witt at Southside Christian Fellowship Ayr, Scotland back on 5th October 2007. In light of recent events, it makes so much more sense now but we need to pray that the blessings associated with the word will come to fruition….

“I believe that God is about to send a major earthquake to Iceland, actually a volcano, it’s going to erupt, He spoke to me, and said it was going to be the 8th most powerful volcano in Iceland’s history. … It may not be for a while, but it will happen and it’s going to happen as a sign.

And when it comes there’s also going to be earthquakes that are going to hit Scotland - they may not be huge, but they’re going to be enough to put in the front page of the newspapers – “Scotland is shaken” and it’s going to be a sign to you as a nation, particularly the Christians that God is about to unearth something big.

That something that has been hidden and has been a mystery of prayers of saints for hundreds of years even over a thousand are going to begin to birth in this area, and could be a combination of the whole Hebrides thing, and Shetlands, and John Knox, and many, many prayers over the years are going to come forth at one time.

God is going to sweep this country, it’s going to be like a flash flood- it’s going to come quickly, it’s going to be fast and it will be over quickly but the evidence of it will live for many years – and it’s going to be up to the people that discern and understand what is happening what will happen in your area.

Here’s what the Lord is speaking for this area of Ayr, that God wants this area to be a place of refuge. That He’s going to raise up mighty works in this area, there’s already great works in this area, but I’m talking about mighty works.

Churches that are 100 will be lured into larger numbers, 4 and 500. Churches that are 2 or 300 will be tempted to become churches of 1000.

A lot of Scottish people they look around and go “well God’s not going to do anything big here, it just hasn’t happened that way before”

He is offering something major to those whose hearts have been expanded to contain it.

May you know the day of your visitation, may you be like sons of Issachar. They just didn’t discern the times, but they knew what to do. “

On 17 November 2009, Barbara submitted the following word to the UK Prophetic Roundtable:

A Season of Fire & Rivers of Fire

• I saw a picture of planet earth with little fires over parts of it, then as the wind blew these fires spread – at pace.
• I then saw a picture of a ‘blacksmith’s furnace – there was extreme heat – metal was put in the fire to be softened and then removed and hammered into shape – the process was repeated several times – an incredible sharp sword was created.
• Finally I saw rivers of fire (lava) flowing across the nation.

This is a time for the rivers of fire to flow, a time for the fulfilment of Jean Darnall’s 1967 vision

Implications

• We are in a season of change – the wind is blowing, the fire is spreading at an accelerated pace.
• God is sounding a renewed wake-up call. In the spirit the Shofar is being blown over key cities.
• There is a renewed call to Holiness and a Warrior call to take up the sword (Joel 3 ‘changing ploughshares into swords…’)

For many of us, the Holy Spirit wants to change our perception of what is important. A key part of this is changing our focus from ‘personal provision’ to that of expanding the Kingdom. (Involves free choice & sacrifice.)

• God raising up a ‘grass-roots’ army and our Scottish ‘soulish identity’ is being challenged. We need to put aside the old identity of ‘oppressed victim’ and grasp the identity of ‘sonship’. To discard inappropriate mindsets (e.g. competition, orphan spirit) and embrace a Kingdom mentality. To be prepared to ‘give away’ our ministry / anointing / knowledge to see others raised up & released.
• ‘Empires’ will continue to be dismantled (as lava flows individual stones become part of the river).
• In this season we will see Scotland & the UK evangelising Europe & other parts of the world with increased pace & power. This will be accomplished by an explosion of the prophetic. In 2010 we will see an increased number of ‘schools’ & ‘ministries’ where many ‘ordinary’ people will be released into their prophetic giftings and the ministry of Jesus taken outside the church walls.

Enemy strategies (to counteract this ‘explosion’)

• increased persecution from those with a traditional / religious / orphan mindset – There is a requirement to embrace grace, love, forgiveness and to deny partnership with mindsets that would cause disunity and isolation.
• ‘subtle deception’ – including seeking manifestations, gifts and experiential encounters over truth and intimacy. God’s word & discernment – are key.
• Encouraging people to operate outside their lines of authority – will cause division and discouragement
• Sense of fatigue / tiredness – requirement to maintain momentum, God is releasing a clarion call to ‘keep pressing in / to keep going’

Covenant / Ownership issues

God is calling us to be careful of the covenant relationships we embrace. There is a requirement to be released from inappropriate covenants & to realign ourselves with Kingdom covenants. In particular this relates to covenants governing our relationships and our finance.

Political / Economic issues

• Experiencing God’s goodness is not dependent on the economy. Gen 26 – Isaac – planted during a famine and same year received 100 fold.
• World’s systems – failing, God’s systems still work.
• God is accelerating His purposes in the earth through a global recession. There is a war over the transfer of wealth. This includes the harvest of people.
• In this season provision will be connected to revelation & intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
• Much of the current recession is driven by an oil crisis. The first oil crisis is mentioned in Mat 26 – where the Kingdom of Heaven is likened to 10 virgins – 5 had oil, 5 hadn’t. v12 ‘I know you not’ Key – intimacy with God.

Given by Emma Stark on 26 February 2009 in Bridgeton Life Church, Glasgow:

It’s a new season. It’s a NOW season. NOW is the time to claim the land, in order to start the process of  Revelation 11 verse 15:

“then the 7th angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices shouting in heaven:
“The world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign for ever and ever”

NOW is the time to begin this move, NOW is the season for you to take the ground for the Kingdom of God.

NOW is the time for sons to return to their fathers and fathers to their sons – just as we read in Malachi 4 verse 6:

“His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers.”

God is in the business of reconciliation. And it is a NOW season for reconciliation!

I felt God say he has a specific strategy and plan for dealing with two things the East End of Glasgow specifically struggles with:

1. Drug addiction
2. Gang Warfare

The East End has these two problems because it lacks the peace of God; the absence of the peace of God is a root problem.

Form this place without the peace of God, fear and and depression have been allowed to rise. These have become the dominant emotions in the East End. Fear has propelled people to gangs. Depression and has propelled people to drugs.

God said that this peace has been stolen and NOW it’s up to the people of God to contend with the enemy in this NOW season to get it back.

God asks the East End, “Will you contend for My peace to return?”

Rise up people, and take it back God’s peace – for it has been stolen. This is a warfaring time for the church in this place, but God has given you the land.

God is moving ahead of you, East End.

In 2 Samuel chapter 5, David defeated the Philistines twice. And many of you feel like you have already battled for the East End and – just like the Philistines – the problems have risen again. But this is a NOW season. And God says He is on the move. He asks if you can hear him in the tops of the Balsam trees (2 Samuel 5 verse 24)?

When you hear a sound like marching feet in the tops of the poplar [Balsam] trees, be on the alert! That will be the signal that the Lord is moving ahead of you to strike down the Philistine army.”

I saw a picture of Celtic Park, which denoted the East End of Glasgow. God threw from Heaven a massive sword as high as the stadium. He said, I have marked out the East End, in this season, as a place to do battle in the heavenlies and where, with the weapons I have placed in your midst, you can take the land. Arise army! Again! Yes, again, says God –  arise! Take the ground, use your weapon. The weapons of warfare are mighty in your hand.  2 Corinthians 10 v 4:

We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.

You are not to fear man any more, but only fear God. The enemy has tried to hide this church, he has tried to put a cloak around it and we tear it down now in the name of Jesus. God says well done to you because you are a contending church. God has promised to make this church a church that blesses the community financially, rather than being a church in poverty.

In this season of change, the England Prophetic Roundtable has gone through a wonderful regrouping time.

The gathering has now expanded to include prophetic voices from the rest of the UK. The founding members of the Prophetic Roundtable were Martin Scott, Sue Mitchell, Rachel Hickson, Sharon Stone and others. We forged relationships of trust and honour for the diversity of each other’s gifting and authority. But in 2008, it was time for the UK to benefit on a larger scale from a wider range of God’s prophets.

September will convince you that you must connect to His economic system

The dramatic events that have unfolded this week in the US and within the past 24 hours here in the UK resonate with the truth God spoke through this word.  I want to share this with you in light of these events as an encouragement that the Lord is faithful to His Word and He has made both provision and a way.

“September is a turning point and a sign of the times. It is all about those who have made Godly alignments in this season being blessed with revelation and information in the midst of world crisis.

“I see more banks will suffer: a USA world bank’s shares are in trouble – I see government in the USA bailing out mortgage giants and the government in England cutting house purchase taxes for the sagging housing crisis, to no avail. I see a European airline failing with no notice. I see the eyes of the world looking to see, ‘who is this coming out of Alaska?’ And I see smoke coming from the Chunnel.

“As I see these things I hear the encouragement of God to His Isaacs in the earth who sow in the times of famine and reap 100 fold in the year. I’m not a prosperity preacher, I’m a prophet. And God is saying that September will convince you that you must connect to His economic system. There are always the few that are greatly blessed when the majority are shaken, threatened and fearful.

“God says, ‘Have you positioned yourself for THE NEW? Your storehouse is not an earthly bank. Hold on and I will bail you out of your mortgage issues. Am I not better to you than any government? I will not leave you stranded on foreign soil, and I will carry you above the circumstances better than any plane or jet. And your hope is not an Alaskan saviour, but Me.’ I know that sounds strange, it does to me also.

“England, the smoke I saw coming out of the Chunnel is a warning for your intercessors to arise and cut off the enemy’s plan to sabotage and siege England’s favour in trade. Let him who has ears hear.

“God I release an Isaac anointing upon us now!”
